Welcome to the Masthead of Scribere! We are a dedicated team of individuals who thrill to all things literary and hail from all over the world.
Editor-in-Chief
Sydney Heintz is a writer from the Geneva region of Switzerland. An alumna of the Iowa Young Writers’ Studio, she has been published in Eunoia Review and BAIT Magazine, among others. She is currently an undergraduate at the University of Cambridge.
Managing Editor
Chloe Cho is a rising senior at the Bergen County Academies in Hackensack, New Jersey. She is excited to help run Scribere as Managing Editor while simultaneously developing her passion for writing. She has received recognition from competitions such NJCTE, NCTE, and Scholastic and is looking forward to seeing Scribere grow!
Marketing Director
Deedra Mathura is a business and past tech student in Trinidad. She has created several websites for school projects and is soon starting her Bachelor’s in International Business. She loves to read and create content for Scribere.
Editorial Board Member
Thehara Ubayawardena is an essayist, poet, and prose writer from New York. She has won several awards for her writing, including a High Distinction in Philosophy in the 2023 John Locke Global Essay Competition. Besides writing, she loves playing tennis and board games with her little brother.

Samara Lehman is a high school student from the Bay Area, as well as Junior Editor for Polyphony Lit and the print-production editor of her school newspaper. She joined Scribere because of her love of writing and is very excited to be part of the team.

Emma Luu is a high schooler in Colorado who is passionate about journalism and art. She enjoys experimenting with gouache and spending a day with a good book. In her free time, you can find her on the hunt for cute stationery.

Andie Park is a junior attending high school in New Jersey. He has earned regional and national recognition from Scholastic and Bowseat for his essays, poetry, and prose. Eager to contribute to the writing community, he enjoys working with Scribere and engaging with diverse writers. In his free time, Andie likes to DJ with his sister.
