Welcome to the eighteenth edition of Scribere!
In this issue, you'll find nine works of prose and eight works of poetry. Stories of grief and pain intertwine with stories of hope and love; works about the bitterness of loss and regret contrast with pieces about finding family and friendship. As always, our serialized pieces continue: expect the ninth chapter of Abstracts: Seer, the seventh installation of Who Am I, the fifth installation of We’re Looking for the Sky, and the fifth and sixth chapters of The Alleyway Portal.
I am pleased to announce the publication of works created by the Prose Train! The Prose Train is a multi-author narrative led by our newest board member, Irene. Authors collaborate to build on each other's words to create a cohesive storyline. The two Prose Train pieces published here will hopefully be the first of many to come!
New COVID-19 cases are declining, but we’re not out of the woods yet, so stay safe and keep those pens moving!
